poner algo de valor de sqlite

i've a problem with sqlite. i want to get some value (x, y) from my database (sqlite)

aquí está mi código:

 Cursor notesCursor = mDbHelper.fetchAllNotes();
        startManagingCursor(notesCursor);       

        double x, y ;

        try {
            x = notesCursor.getDouble(notesCursor.getColumnIndexOrThrow(NotesDbAdapter.KEY_ROWID));

Y from ID and X from Result. but it didn't work, am i missing something? i really need help, thanks before

Te lo perdiste moveToFirst () method before getting any value out of Cursor. add e.printStackTrace(); to all the catch blocks (instead of TODO), and you'll see the real reason.

Btw, method startManagingCursor() is deprecated.

Ok, try this one now Change this code

Cursor notesCursor = mDbHelper.fetchAllNotes();
startManagingCursor(notesCursor);

to Cursor notesCursor = mDbHelper.fetchAllNotes();

if (notesCursor != null) {
    startManagingCursor(notesCursor);
} else {
   System.err.println("Cursor is null");
}

And make sure that mDbHelper is not null either.

Post all the code of your Activity class. I'm interested in onCreate method. - bitle

add try catch in your onCreate method and post stacktrace again setContentView(R.layout.xy_chart); try {......... } catch (NullPointerException e) {e.printStackTrace()} } // <-- end of the onCreateMethod// - bitle
